Camp Cranium

Blue Flame team member Blaise Lacca was the well-deserved honoree of the second annual Sgt. Patrick McDonald Award, which is presented to a Blue Flame player who has selflessly pursued the team’s community service mission.

Blaise recently spent a week of his vacation time to volunteer with Camp Cranium, an overnight camp for children with brain injuries. As you can see from the photos below, Blaise had as much fun as the kids. This was his second year as a camp counselor. Blaise has also been very involved with the team’s adopted family and has helped to bring them meals and gifts for the holidays.

Bowling Monte Carlo Night

Army 14, Navy 13

Before the Army Black Knights took down the Navy Midshipmen and won the Commander in Chief Trophy on Dec. 9 at Lincoln Financial Field, members of the Philadelphia Blue Flame provided the West Pointers with a distinct hometown advantage — home cooking. The Blue Flame delivered Philly cheesesteaks, Tastykakes and soft pretzels as the Army team returned to its Center City hotel on Thursday. Congrats on the win soldiers and thank you for your service to our country.

Thank You Designer Bag Bingo Crew

Thank you to the 16 players who showed up to help at our Bingo.  The ladies had a ball, and so did all of us volunteers.  We appreciate the time you have taken to help us set up, sell chances, wait on the ladies, and check bingo numbers. Check back here for information about our Bowling Night/Monte Carlo Night on Jan. 27 at Thunderbird Lanes.
